“Talking to Strangers: An Evening of Spoken Word” is the inaugural performance by Right Side Up Poets, a group of performers from UC Santa Barbara.

RSU came together after members took Kip Fulbeck’s spoken word class. Quarter after quarter, students pack the aisles of UCSB theaters and often have to be turned away because there are simply not enough seats for the numerous enthusiastic fans of Fulbeck’s talented students and their array of witty, passionate and inspiring performances.

Now, the show is coming to SOhO in downtown Santa Barbara. “Talking to Strangers” features some of the best performers from the ten years that Fulbeck’s class has been in existence.

Performers include:
Mel Rosenberg
Ryan Yamamato
Demi Anter
Teagan Miller
Carissa Zavada
Fey Cha
Jessica Oropesa
Reannan Last
Jinling Huo
Eddie Perez
Laura Harwood
Christina Blackwell
Alison Green
Kevin Ferguson
Sergio Salazar
and more…

Seating is limited, so plan to arrive early and make your dinner reservations now by calling (805) 962-7776 xt.6. SOhO serves delicious food that is organic and locally sourced. Reserving a dinner table is the only way to guarantee a seat for this event.
